This original painting is from Earthbound Tarot, a 78-card deck I created using handmade earth pigments sourced across New Mexico. Each card in the deck was individually hand-painted using watercolors made from rocks and organic materials that I foraged myself.
This listing is for the original framed painting of the Seven of Cups. The piece is painted on archival paper using handmade earth pigments and is housed in a solid pine wood frame with hardware for hanging. The painting measures 6 × 9 inches, and the frame measures 9 × 13 inches.
About the Card:
A man gazes up at the sky, where seven cups float above him. Each one holds a different fantasy—symbols of hopes, fears, and imagined realities. He is captivated, using these visions as a way to escape what lies in front of him. The Seven of Cups reminds us that while the imagination can be a powerful tool for inspiration, it can also become a trap. When we spend too much time lost in what could be, we lose touch with what is. Not every option that appears in our mind is grounded in truth—and chasing illusions can leave us feeling scattered or stuck.
